Novotech Australia are a contract research organisation (CRO) conducting a
study in moccacin type tinea pedis (MTTP) in a number of dermatology clinics
around Australia and we have a study site in Carlton. This study has been approved
by the Bellberry EC.
We are looking for volunteers (GP patients) who:
" Have moccacin type athlete's foot (infection on the doles/heels/borders
of the foot)
" Are aged 18 to 65 years
" Have no major health problems
Summary of the study:
" Global study - total duration is 12 week (screening, 4 week treatment,
and follow up)
" 5 sites in Australia (1 NSW, 1 VIC, 2 QLD and 1 SA)
" Looking at recruiting 12 pts per site
" Total No of clinic visit over 12 weeks = 9
" Must have positive MTTP via mycology assessment and culture
" Oral treatment (once a week) - 4 arms to the study, one being placebo
" Safety blood tests and ECG monitoring required throughout study for safety
reasons
" Skin and nail samples taken throughout study
