High risk score for developing type 2 diabetes is now 12 on the AUSDRISK Test
A score of 12 (previously 15) on the AUSDRISK Test is now considered as high risk of developing type 2 diabetes. People 40 years+ and Aboriginal people 18 +, who score 12 or more on the AUSDRISK Test and have diabetes excluded can be referred to a Lifestyle Modification Program (LMP). On Sunday 4 July a three week social marketing campaign will commence. The Life! program will be promoted through TV adverts, radio and in the local Leader newspapers. The campaign will encourage potential participants to visit their GP for a referral to Life! Be ready to refer your patients today. The campaign theme this year is PREVENT type 2 diabetes and AVOID kidney damage.
