Eastern Ranges GP Association has been advised by the Shire of Yarra Ranges that GP assistance is no longer required in the short term at the relief centres in Healesville and Yarra Glen.
It is our understanding that Divisions have been contacting the local shire directly to offer assistance. To make this process easier for all, the Shire looking after relief centres in Healesville and Yarra Glen (Shire of Yarra Ranges) have requested that all medical offers of assistance be directed to Megan Abbott here at Eastern Ranges GP Association, who is assisting to coordinate medical personnel in these centres with the shire.
The situation at the moment is that GP assistance is not required immediately in those refuge centres, however we may need assistance over the coming weeks. Please inform anyone interested that you can take their details and forward them on, but due to the high volume of volunteer GPs, they should only expect a call if they are required to assist.
