Family Violence Peer Education

GPV and the Victorian Women’s Trust are seeking 5 GP’s (2 x non metro and 3 x metro) to assist with the delivery of family violence peer education at the local level. There will be a selection process based on the accompanying application. If you are selected you will receive training on the content and process; and the opportunity to work with an experienced co-facilitator to deliver a local CPD session. This program is designed to be supportive, consultative and enhance your skills and confidence.

Interested GP’s will:

1. Fill in the attached application/expression of interest and submit to Debra Clayton at General Practice Victoria by no later than Monday 1 August 2011.
2. If successful GP’s will be notified by phone call and in writing
3. Attend a one day Train the Trainer workshop on Saturday 20 August 2011
4. Deliver the education through their local division by no later than 31 March 2012
5. Be remunerated to attend the workshop and deliver the local session
6. Be offered the opportunity to receive Category 1 RACGP QI & CPD or ACCRM PDP points
