The Commonwealth Government has decided to fund the influenza vaccine under the NIP for people at increased risk of influenza complications from 1 January 2010.
The additional groups that will become eligible for free influenza vaccines are listed in the Australian Immunisation handbook 9th Edition 2008, Recommendations 1. People at increased risk of complications from influenza infection, page 190, 191, 192.
