    • Travel assistance: There are 10 grants ($100) available to GPs travelling from rural or regional areas of Victoria. These will be allocated to support attendance across all areas of Victoria. GPs should indicate interest on the registration form.

  2. GPV is seeking to interview 8 GP and PN teams who have conducted at least 5 intellectual disability health assessments in the past 12 months: See the GPV letter.
The aim is to develop 8 case studies about how practices successfully implement annual health assessments for people with an intellectual disability. These case studies will be used for education and dissemination via newsletters.
Each participating GP and PN team will be asked to:
    • Identify at least 5 patients with an intellectual disability for whom a health assessment has been successfully completed in the last year.
    • Participate together in a telephone interview (1 hour duration) to reflect on what was done, outcomes for the patient and practical arrangements that worked well.
    • Check the written draft case study for accuracy.
    Funding available:
    • $250 is available to each participating Division.
    • $130 is available for each participating GP (via the division)
    • $40 for each participating PN (via the division)

GPV would like divisions to help find 8 GP and PN teams from various parts of Victoria. Please contact me for more information if you are able to assist – phone 9341 5268 or d.clayton@gpv.org.au
