A previous President of the RACGP Council (Dr Michael Kidd) and Dr Leanne Rowe have written extensively on doctor’s health and medical workplace violence.
Dr Rowe continues to receive calls from doctors of all specialties who wish to discuss personal issues related to workplace stress, relationship problems, bullying and occupational violence. In the last few years, GPs have become more aware of the need to have their own GP and to refrain from self diagnosis and treatment. Nevertheless only 25% of doctors have their own GP.
In response to this need, Dr Rowe has set up a small private medical consulting practice for medical practitioners only, in Southbank in Melbourne.
The service offers long consultations for preventive health checks, medical follow-up, mental health care and referral to other specialists.

Dr Rowe wishes to point out that she does not wish to advertise this practice, but MGPN believes that members should be aware of the practice
