The supply of free HPV vaccine for the catch-up program for females between 13 and 26 years of age stops on 31 December 2009.
Gardasil vaccine doses remaining in your vaccine refrigerator after 1 January 2010 can be used to complete any vaccine course for young women between 13 and 26 years of age. So now is a great time to identify how many eligible women are yet to complete their course, and order appropriately before December 31.
The Gardasil vaccine supplied for the national HPV program will continue to be supplied to immunisation providers for the ongoing Year 7 secondary school girl program. A year 7 school girl, who has started a course of vaccination but did not complete all three doses in that year, has until the end of Year 8 to complete their free course of Gardasil.
