Cancer Council Victoria encourages health professionals to promote International Men’s Health Week June 15-21. It’s an opportunity to encourage males to discuss family history, options for early detection of some cancers, and provide advice about cutting their cancer risk through lifestyle changes. These include: participating in screening programs, knowing your body and seeing your GP about unusual changes, having a healthy diet, limiting or avoiding alcohol, being SunSmart and not smoking.
