Diabetes Australia will launch a new campaign on Sunday 13 July to mark the start of National Diabetes Week 2008.
THE campaign will focus on family history and being overweight or obese as key risk factors in the development of type 2 diabetes.
A campaign kit containing a range of new resources will be offered to health professionals to support community-based awareness activities.
A new website www.diabetesinfamilies.com.au will go live on 13 July to coincide with the launch of the campaign.
A launch of the campaign will take place in Federation Square on 13 July, 10- 12 including information booths and family fun activities.
