A controlled clinical trial with a new oral combination product for the treatment of Overactive Bladder is underway in the Department of Urology at RMH.
THVD-201 is a novel product that combines the anti-muscarinic medication Tolterodine with a modified-release formulation of a salivary stimulant. The new capsule is believed to cause less side effects than other anti-muscarinic agents approved for this indication. We are currently recruiting female patients 18-75 years of age. The study duration is approximately 7 months including 8 visits. Study medication is provided free of charge.
If know of a suitable patient for this study or would like to receive more information please contact Research Nurse Lidia Veca on 9342 8442, fax 9342 8928 or email Lidia.Veca@mh.org.au.
