The Victorian Department of Health has informed GPV that, because of the overwhelming response from across Australia, the Commonwealth is no longer seeking GP volunteers to go to Pakistan.
DoHA has identified Primary Care Teams which will be deployed to Pakistan in late September and late October. These are made up of primary care practitioners from across Australia and GPV has not been informed whether any Victorians are going but will attempt to find out whether Victorian volunteers have been deployed.
DoHA will communicate directly with those to be deployed.
