RCH: Calling the RCH for clinical advice

The Royal Children's Hospital has changed the way that the switchboard manages GP calls and want to also let GPs know – in particular encouraging the GP to give us a timeframe for the call back and encouraging them to use the GP access line.

Please call the RCH GP access line 9345 7060 and press 1 for ED – all general clinical queries (a senior doctor will take your call immediately) or press 5 for switchboard to speak to a speciality unit (who will return your call).

Please:

  1. Tell the switchboard operator when you need the call returned (eg within the session – morning/afternoon – or within the day) and
  2. Leave a number you can be EASILY contacted on (eg mobile).
