Waiting rooms incubate bugs
- Please ask parents / patients to leave all unwell relatives at home when coming to hospital, to help reduce spreading infections within Emergency and Outpatients Departments.
- Cough / sneeze etiquette and hand-washing techniques are two important ways people can protect themselves and others from influenza. The DoH has illustrated posters for your waiting rooms showing how to reduce the spread of infection when coughing and sneezing, and how to wash hands effectively.
