The Rural Health Education Foundation will be broadcasting a series of four professional development programs surrounding the updated NHMRC endorsed and Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing funded Evidence Based Guidelines for the treatment and management of type 2 diabetes. The Foundation’s programs will focus on the key practice points and goals for management of T2 DM presented in the Guidelines to assist clinicians, health services and policy makers.
The programs include panel discussion with leading clinicians in the area of diabetes and are chaired by Dr Norman Swan. Case studies, filmed on location, showcase innovative approaches to best practice prevention, diagnosis and management of T2 DM. The fourth program specifically focuses on type two diabetes and Indigenous Australians.
