Research study: e-consultations in Victorian general practice

Using new information and communication technologies to consult with patients in Victorian primary care: the views of General Practitioners

Primary care researchers based at Deakin University and Edinburgh University, Scotland, are carrying out a qualitative research study on Victorian GPs’ views about using technologies like email, text messaging or videomessaging to consult with their patients.

It is hoped that findings from this study will lead to recommendations to policymakers on the factors important to GPs when considering the uptake of new consultation media.

Participation involves taking part in a telephone interview lasting 45 minutes- 1 hour. Participants will be offered a $90 honorarium.  If you’re interested please contact Dr Lisa Hanna at lisa.hanna@deakin.edu.au OR on 03 924 46256.
