UPDATE ON MEDICARE ENHANCED PRIMARY CARE DENTAL ITEMS SCHEME(item nos 85011-8777)
You may be aware of advice issued by Medicare that these item numbers will not be available after 30 June 2008. However, on 19 June 2008, the Senate disallowed the Government’s cessation of the EPC dental scheme. There will be no changes to the item numbers – they will continue as per the current arrangements.
Patients currently accessing the items under a GP management plan will be able to continue to do so, and new eligible patients will be able to access the item numbers.
