Midtown Medical Clinic seeks a part time Division 1 nurse to join their growing Practice Nurse Division. Midtown Medical Clinic is a large modern medical practice located in Melbourne’s Central Business District. We are a fully computerised, AGPAL Accredited Practice with friendly and supportive staff. The successful applicant will join two other Practice Nurses and work alongside 14 General Practitioners. Duties will include patient liaison, triaging, immunisation, wound care, care planning, pre-employment medicals and assisting in the management of medical supplies and equipment. Immunisation accreditation is preferred, strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. On the job training will be provided.
The position is for approximately 15 hours per week, all day Wednesday and either Monday or Friday however some flexibility is available. Competitive remuneration.

This HARP-CDM funded program is an innovative community based program that aims to improve health outcomes for children and young people with asthma who present to the Royal Children’s Hospital and live in the northern, western and inner eastern regions of metropolitan Melbourne. You will be part of a dynamic & committed team, which provides asthma education and support to clients, families and the broader community.
The successful applicant will:
• Have a tertiary qualification in a health-related field
• Undertake client and family assessment/reviews
• Liaise and implement best practice asthma education & self-management approaches in conjunction with the client’s GP, RCH, Community Health and other Health professionals
• Coordinate and propose referrals to a broad range of community, health and support services
• Provide community education and support to schools, childcare, GPs and other health professionals.

This position is based at our Moonee Ponds site and will work with various partner organisations across the acute and community setting.

Part-time medical receptionist required for administrative role in a vibrant city general practice. The practice consists of 4 part time general practitioners, a psychologist and visiting specialists. The practice is open Monday-Friday from 8.30am and is located in the heart of Southbank within close proximity to a variety of public transport.
Candidates will need to be available to work 2-3 days a week and may have the opportunity to cover extra shifts.  $22-29 per hour.  The candidate needs to be a reliable person with excellent computer skills who is well spoken and presented to do medical receptionist and general duties around the medical centre.
Duties will include:

• Answering telephones 
• Making appointments
• General administration 
• Accounts and billing 
• General housekeeping

Experience: 

• Year 12 qualification required
• Must have good technology skills as the practice uses electronic storage and administration 
• Good communication skills are essential
• Experience in a medical practice is preferred 
• The ideal applicant would be able to commit to a long-term position
