Medicare Australia recently sent information packs to general practices and allied health professionals, outlining the key Medicare requirements relating to CDM MBS items. Quick reference guides were included in the packs to help deliver quality care planning for eligible patients. EPC Medicare Item Number Letter Templates
A greater awareness about the Medicare EPC items has seen some GPs needing to respond to allied health service providers who send ineligible patients along to ‘get a TCA’. GPV has drafted two letter templates which will be available on the GPV and MGPN website in the coming weeks. The letters will be in RTF format for use in Medical Director. The first template letter informs the allied health service provider that the patient is not eligible for a TCA. The second template letter is for patients who already have a TCA or whose TCA sessions are already fully committed.
