  • Pertussis Prevention for New Parents – Free ‘Time Limited’ Program. Extended to 30 June 2011
    Victoria has experienced a sharp increase in pertussis notifications in recent months and the pertussis outbreak is occurring nationwide. In a letter dated 4 June 2009 to all practices, the Department of Human Services made available a limited supply of free pertussis containing vaccine (Boostrix®) for new parents. GPs are able to offer Boostrix vaccine to ‘new’ parents as soon as possible after the birth of their child.
    The program commences for parents of infants born from 15 June 2009. Order Boostrix vaccine by using form included in the letter or click here. August 2010
